For me, photography and videography are the clearest ways to tell stories and connect with others. I love exploring the space where timelessness meets innovation, working with everything from darkroom processing and development to Photoshop.
I continually experiment, pushing the boundaries of analog film, Y2K digital cameras, and digital composites to create images that feel original, enduring, and thoughtfully crafted. My commitment to visual storytelling has been recognized through the John Upton Memorial Scholarship for excellence in photography and visual storytelling and the Brian Lewis Film and Television Department Scholarship for achievement in film and television studies.
Whether I am capturing a person, a product, or an event, I strive for integrity, artistry, and authenticity. My work has included collaborations with musicians, businesses, and international organizations, taking me from local venues like Scribbles, Echo Park Library, and Lodge Room to projects abroad in the Congo, Japan, and Costa Rica.
I am now pursuing a degree in Film and Television Production at UCLA with a focus on cinematography. I would be honored to bring my perspective to your story.
Best regards,
Avery Beck
